Thanksgiving weekend means. . .

The rams get to go spend a few weeks of quality time with the ewes.  They've thought they were in Jail.

The ewes were getting a little antsy. . .

And sometimes, cruel.

Are you going to coat your sheep this year? Happy Breeding!! We will be done in a few weeks!

I have only a few coats in many sizes, to see which I like.
The first and only one I brought home from Jefferson is on Bluebell, in the picture.
Handling them is over, now, and it looks like a pain to get them on, so. . .we'll see if any more go on this year. Progrss, not perfection is the goal, right?

We have a Finn / Polypay ram in with Soot, now. It will be interesting to see what comes of this mix. I can't wait until we get a little one (hopefully MORE).

Candy and I are still dreaming of more sheep. I keep hinting to Norm.

Hmmm, Connie,
let me guess what color Soot is!

Hi Gail. It's been awhile. The girls are looking very good. I imagine you are going to have a happy farm for awhile.

Yes, Candy, after the first day or two with new "roommates", all the sheep settle down. We'll leave them in their groups for 3 weeks and then split up boy and girl groups again.
Then it's a long, quiet winter.
